1 Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to DukaanSathi. By downloading, installing, or using the DukaanSathi mobile application ("App") or website ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms").

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App or Site. These Terms apply to all users of DukaanSathi, including shop owners, their staff, and any other persons who access the service.

2 Eligibility

To use DukaanSathi, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid Indian mobile number
• Use the App for lawful business purposes only
• Not be barred from using such services under applicable Indian law

By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements.

3 Your Account

When you register, you create an account using your mobile number and a 6-digit PIN. You are fully responsible for:

• Keeping your PIN confidential and secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at support@dukaansathi.in if you suspect unauthorized access
• Ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and up to date

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your account credentials secure.

4 Permitted Use

DukaanSathi is designed for legitimate small business management. You may use the App to:

• Record and manage customer credit/debit transactions (khata)
• Track inventory and stock levels
• Manage supplier records and payments
• Generate and share PDF invoices
• Manage staff records and attendance
• View business sales reports

You agree to use the App only for its intended business purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in India.

5 Prohibited Activities

You agree that you will not:

• Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose
• Record false, misleading, or fabricated financial transactions
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to harass, stalk, or threaten any individual
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any malicious code
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the App using automated means
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without written permission
• Violate any applicable local, state, or national law or regulation

6 Your Data & Content

All business data you enter into DukaanSathi (customer names, transactions, stock records, etc.) belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your business data.

By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the DukaanSathi service to you. This license ends when you delete your account.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter. We are not responsible for errors in records entered by you or your staff.

7 Service Availability

We strive to keep DukaanSathi available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable due to:

• Scheduled or emergency maintenance
• Third-party service disruptions (e.g., Google Firebase outages)
• Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
• Your internet connectivity issues

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.

8 Disclaimer of Warranties

DukaanSathi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy or completeness of data or reports generated
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

DukaanSathi is a business record-keeping tool. It does not constitute financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for such matters.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DukaanSathi and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of business data or records
• Loss of revenue or profits
• Business interruption
• Errors in generated reports or invoices

We strongly recommend taking regular exports of your data (PDF reports) as a personal backup.

10 Termination

Either you or DukaanSathi may terminate your account and access to the service at any time.

You may terminate by deleting your account through the Settings section of the App or by emailing support@dukaansathi.in.

We may terminate your account, without notice or liability, if you:

• Violate any of these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or harmful behavior
• Use the service in a way that poses legal or security risks

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days of termination, subject to our legal obligations.

11 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

12 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify you via an in-app notification on your next login.

Your continued use of DukaanSathi after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the service and delete your account.
